REQUIREMENTS FOR PUCHASING A FIREARM IN NORTH CARLOLINA
Requirements for Purchasing a Firearm in North Carolina:
Note: These requirements, and a background check, apply whether purchasing a firearm, transferring a firearm, or picking up your unsold consigned firearm.
With all firearms sales and transfers: if any staff member at Long's Guns feels uncomfortable with the sale, we reserve the right to deny the transfer or sale of the firearm and return the firearm to the seller.
Primary ID:
Primary Identification consists of a NC Drivers license or DMV-issued Photo ID that is more than 30 days old. The ID must have the current and correct name and physical address for the cardholder. A copy of the purchaser’s DMV driver’s record showing that the original date of issue for the license was more than 30-days prior will suffice if the license has been re-issued, or the person has changed addresses.
Primary Identification for a non-NC Resident, for the purchase of a rifle or shotgun, must consist of a valid driver’s license or photo-ID issued by a governmental agency of the prospective purchasers home state that denote the purchasers name, race, sex, date of birth and current address. Federal law prohibits the sale or transfer of a handgun to a nonresident of the state in which the handgun is being purchased.

AMMUNITION PURCHASES
Customers must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. I tis important to check your local laws for any other regulations.

GENERAL FIREARM SALES
All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. You must be 18 or older to purchase a long gun and 21 or older to purchase a handgun per ATF rules, but state and local laws may differ and you will need to check your local laws before purchasing a firearm.
INVENTORY OF STOCK ITEMS
Please note that not all inventory seen on the website may be in stock at the store location. Items appearing as in stock are available for order from our Distributors. Once ordered they will arrive at the store within a 3-7 day period. After the items you have ordered arrive, we will contact you and let you know the item(s) are available for pick up at 5272 Patterson Avenue, Winston-Salem store.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
When your special orders are received at our 5272 Patterson Avenue location, we will notify you within 3 business days.
PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS
Our inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the web site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.
RETURNS/CANCELLATIONS
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it to us WITHIN 10 DAYS of receipt. Items must be returned in 100% like new, never used, resalable condition.
Regrettably in most cases, we cannot accept returns of firearms, night-vision products, air guns, holsters, rings, bases, black-powder guns, or ammunition.
If a product is defective/damaged upon receipt or not as advertised, you may return it to us for a refund or replacement within 10 days of receipt.
You may be charged a 25% restocking fee if items are not returned in 100% resalable condition.
USED FIREARMS
The seller provides all descriptions for used items. All descriptions for used items are honest and based on actual items being offered for sale. Items being sold in this manner will be marked as such. All sales on used items are final. Photos will be provided when available. All machine guns are considered used unless otherwise noted.
